About Family Tree Project
This has been my lifetime project. I started while I was in my first
few years of college. I really have loved finding my family history and it is
a treasure to me.
I am in the process of verifiying and sourcing all information. If I have a write up
on the person, then I have found at least some sort of proof of their existance and
their family line is correct. I makes me so upset to see so many trees with the wrong
infomation on it. This is more pronounced in older lines. Alot of the people out
their doing genealogy are not verifying the information before adding it in. I've
been spending alot of my time now correcting and researching this information. Many
times it dramitically changes my tree once I have found the correct source. When I
was younger I didn't know better myself, but now I am correcting this information. I
just wish more people would take the time to do so themselves to their trees.
I would like this tree to be as acurate as I can possibly make it for all those who
will come after me to have. I am still editing and revising information as I get
it. So don't be upset with me if I have something incorrect. Don't be
afraid to correct me and let me know something is not correct for you family
or in the notes sections. I thank all of you who have contacted me and helped me make
new additions or corrections.
I reload this tree once a month now. So be patient while corrections are being
made. I have a full week up at the airport, so I am limited to nights and
weekends after my children have gone to bed. Such is the life of a busy mom!
I have a large and fasinating family heritage. Over the years I have met alot
of cousins, aunts, uncles and other family relatives also searching on the
internet. If you happen to be one of these relatives, think you are, or have
more information to add to what I have here..... e-mail me! I would love to
hear from you and add your information to this large database. You will be
given a vistors password so you can have access to the information I have
collected.
PLEASE NOTE : My webpage is ONLY accessable by members of this family tree or
people I have reason to believe may be connected to this tree. I want to be
respectful to my living family's right to privacy and information.
NOTE: Some of my lines into the 1900's with living people were removed at the
request of those relatives. I made a horrible mistake and accidently had my
tree exposed on ancestry.com for a period of time. In good will and their
request to protect their research and their living family, I removed them. If
you are looking on a line and don't see all your information here, this might
be the reason why I don't have it posted.
On all other living relatives, names will remain, but no dates, locations, or
notes. If you also have a problem with your information being viewed by any of
the family members in this tree, please let me know so I can change the
information for you or remove you compeletely. I don't want to cause any
problems with anyone! This is suppose to be a preservation of our family
history. I want it to be a way for other relatives to find each other and
learn about each other's families.
LATEST PROJECT:
I'm working on trying find a way to scan in all the pictures I have been
collecting throughout my family line. I just got a scanner at Christmas. But haven't
had the funds to buy the USB hook ups yet.
I really would like to have biographies on as many people as I can find and
photographs of family members, homesteads or anything else related to the
family. If anyone has anything to share, please do so! Pictures are the
hardest to come by in my family so far. Obituaries are also nice to have. They do
tell alot about a person and their families.
This tree includes my husband's adopted family line (Finley), my ex-husband's
family line (Cote) for my son Brock, and all of my family's many branches.
